Switches & Controls

At Link Components you will find a range of lighting switches and controls. Kinetic switches have changed the way we interact with our electrical appliances. Theyoffer a convenient and efficient alternative to traditional mechanical switches, enabling a smoother transition between power states.

The concept of kinetic switches arose in response to the demand for more efficient and user-friendly control mechanisms. Kinetic switches eliminate the need for direct physical contact by leveraging motion to activate and manage electrical devices. They incorporate various sensor technologies like infrared (IR) sensors, capacitive sensors, or motion sensors to detect user movements or specific gestures. These sensors are integrated into the switch housing or the surrounding environment.

When a user approaches a kinetic switch, the built-in sensors detect their presence. Subsequently, the switch interprets the user’s intended action based on predefined gestures or commands. For instance, a simple hand wave can toggle a light switch, while a rotational gesture might adjust brightness levels. These gestures are converted into electrical signals processed by the switch’s internal circuitry, which then regulates the power supply accordingly.

Many kinetic switches feature WiFi receivers to enable wireless communication and connectivity. These receivers facilitate connection to local networks, enabling remote control and integration with smart home systems.

Our lighting switches and controls come with or without the smart WiFi Receivers for ultimate flexibility. Whether you prefer the standard on/off wall operation or integrate them  with smart home systems like voice assistants or mobile apps, we’ve got you covered.
